The OLAM Impact Fellowship aims to educate, inspire, and empower Jewish communal professionals to become champions for global Jewish service and international development in their organizations and among their constituents. The first cohort (June 2018 – June 2019) brought together 11 Jewish professionals who work with Jewish young adults. The 12-month fellowship included 2 in-person seminars; a study trip to Rwanda; a 3-part webinar series; monthly check-ins; and personal take action plans.

OLAM commissioned an evaluation report by Learning for Action (a third-party consulting firm in San Francisco) with the goals of helping OLAM understand the Fellowship’s impact during its pilot year; inform future Fellowship implementation; communicate impact with external stakeholders; and provide a foundation for future evaluation efforts. It draws on multiple data sources, including: a “pre” and “post” Fellowship survey for Fellows; in-depth interviews with a subset of Fellows; a “post” Fellowship survey for Fellows’ organizations; and ongoing survey feedback collected by OLAM staff.
